cyberjesus, JWF, JH,
I just love how this guy presented the severe inconsistencies of a god having omniscience, omnibenevolence, omnipotence, omnipresence, a grand plan, yet living beyond space & time but wants to intervene in the physical world, allowing evil to occur, has an arch rival satan that can challenge him, bestowing freewill but wants his will be done, ect… hehehehehhe
Wicked!
JWF,
ignostic is a new term for me. another idea to explore. tnx for pointing that out.

"What if we solved all our problems this way? Late paying the rent? Just tell your landlord that you paid him with supermoney, which is better than money, but he just can't see it right now.
The paradox and the supernatural are symbiotic. "Beyond" space and time, omniscience, omnibenevolence, omnipotence, omnipresence, freewill, a grand plan, divine intervention, heaven, hell, souls, miracles, and life after death are completely invented concepts that have severe logical problems that are explained away by the word "supernatural", which is also completely made up.
Lightning and rainbows were once obviously supernatural. Those claims failed when they became testable, as will any claim attributed to the supernatural - no matter how obvious they seem to you." -

Did the snake or serpent in the garden have free will?
by jam inwas the snake or serpent created perfect, god saw it was.

@Terry,
I have the same thoughts too.
Moreover, this free will is useless because God wants to obey and follow him anyways. Infact unquestionable obedience is what the WT always emphasize. Therefore freewill seems to have to function after all, or worse detrimental if we continue in the WT paradigm.

Whatever happened to Narkissos?
by tenyearsafter ini just happened upon one of his posts, and i realized i hadn't seen him post in over a year.
i really enjoyed his insightful comments and scholarly knowledge.
he and leolaia could always contribute to those difficult biblical questions that really required a knowledge of the languages and history of biblical times.

One of the accounts' objective in the story of adam in eve was the demonizing of the serpent. Many contemporary biblical scholars now believe that since the genesis account was created around 500 BC an effort was made by the scribes who penned this account to purge the polyestic beliefs israel has. (Jews started as a polyestic culture.) Serpent worship was so common in the land of canaan and was even practiced by the jews early in thier history- the god representing wisdom and healing. Clues about such practice can even be found in the scriptures today. Moses' rod can turn into a snake. When numerous isralites were bitten by snakes Moses made a huge copper serpent for all to look at and be healed. The Serpent was one of their gods before.
Just a thought! :)

Thanks Terry.
The early Gnostic Christians believe that the God of the OT was the evil one, resorting to violence when ever he was dissatisfied.

The way I see it Jesus must have had a wife at some point
by sabastious inthe jesus figure in the bible, accross almost all christian denominations, is one of redemption for humankind.
the way that jesus accomplishes that redemption, however, differs between them.
according to the gospels god, or god's son, lived a man's life and died as a man in redemption of mankind.

Interesting link Devil_fish.
Its a long and old idea that Jesus was married. The nostic Christians in the early first century believed that He was married.:)
